What are the key factors that have contributed to this achievement?
Nirav Doshi: In essence, our success pivots on three pillars – liquidity, data, and efficiency. Our vast global credit fixed income liquidity pool and high-quality data have been crucial in empowering our clients' trading decisions, while our scalable workflow supports growth in the rapidly evolving financial landscape.
How is MarketAxess meeting the growing demand for trading automation solutions?
Erik Tham: Client trading automation objectives are clear–improving operational efficiency, reducing execution costs, systemizing opportunities for price improvement, and staying competitive in a sophisticated market. In response to the increasing demand for automation solutions, we help our clients leverage pricing and liquidity data with our AI-powered pricing engine CP+™ and integration into client order management systems.
How will our latest enhancements influence users?
Nirav Doshi: Each enhancement we introduce aims to improve user experience and trading results. For instance, our Open Trading all-to-all marketplace helps with liquidity discovery and cost-savings, Axess-All Prints offering provides real-time price discovery, and the Auto-X™ tool enables traders to automate all or part of their trading execution workflow.
What challenges do private banks face in Asia, and how are we addressing these?
Nirav Doshi: One notable challenge for private banking execution desks is the constant back and forth for information with relationship managers on where bonds are trading and the progress of an order. To help with this, we have pre-trade price discovery tools such as Axess All – a real-time intraday market data feed that provides aggregated volume and pricing for the most actively traded fixed income instruments in Europe and Asia – and BondTicker – which provides real-time secondary market data sourced from FINRA TRACE, TraX, and unique data from the MarketAxess platform.
Erik Tham: Adding to Nirav’s point, our key solution for private banks, Axess IQ, has become their Swiss Army Knife in the world of trading. Much like a Swiss Army Knife, Axess IQ brings together a variety of tools necessary for modern trading into one compact, user-friendly interface. It can manage everything from pre-trade analytics to post-trade reporting, making it a comprehensive solution for private banking operations. By consolidating multiple execution tools into a single platform, we've also simplified the communication between relationship managers and trading desks, enabling client orders to be handled more efficiently than ever. This efficiency is more than just about speed; it's about giving our clients back their time.
